Yang Yo-seob of boy band Highlight made a surprise announcement in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Monday.

“Highlight bandmates and I are filming the advertisement for a game, at the moment. I came to tell you something,” he said starting up the broadcast.

The singer then went on to make the announcement: “(I will hold) Yang Yo-seob solo concert. I will see you over two days at 6 p.m. on June 16, 2018 and at 4 p.m. on June 17, 2018.”

“I am going to enjoy the two days with you. I am going to meet you at the Grand Peace Hall at Kyunghee University (in Seoul),” Yang said.

“I will work hard preparing and I will be waiting for you with a cool performance, great songs and beautiful music,” he said.

Tickets for the solo concert, titled “White” -- same as the title of his second solo mini album released in February -- will be available exclusively to his fan club members at 8 p.m. on May 23 and will be open to the general public at 8 p.m. on May 24 at ticket.interpark.com.

Kenta
Singer Kenta Takada of now disbanded JBJ communicated with his fans in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Monday.

In the broadcast, the Japanese singer talked about Mother’s Day. In Japan, people celebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday of May.

“Those who are in Japan, have you presented the gifts to your mother?” he asked. “I am about to!” he added while smiling bashfully.

During the broadcast, he was often interrupted by his JBJ bandmates throwing plush dolls to him. “What should I do? The bed is full of (plush dolls),” he said.

He then started to introduce the dolls one by one.

After a while, he said, “I do have a lot of plush dolls on my bed so please stop giving me those. They are so many that there is no place on the bed for me to sleep.”

The singer appeared on the second season of Mnet’s survival audition show “Produce 101” last year. He failed to secure a spot in the final 11-member group, but proved popular thanks to plenty of public exposure during the show, which led to his debut as a member of JBJ.

JBJ consists of Roh Tae-hyun, Kim Sang-gyun, Kim Yong-guk, Kim Dong-han, Kwon Hyun-bean and Takada, who all featured in the Mnet show.

The group recently wrapped up its seven-month promotion activities and disbanded.

In the broadcast, the actors were asked about the reason why they chose to play in the drama.

“It was desirable,” Jang said. “The script for the drama was really interesting and I really wanted to play it myself.”

Jin said, “When I saw the character, I thought, ‘this is the one!’ (The character) was lovely and there were many facets that I’d like to support.”

“Come and Hug Me” tells the love story between a police officer whose father is a notorious psychopathic murderer and the daughter of the victim.

It will air every Wednesday and Thursday at 10 p.m. starting from this Wednesday.
