Lee will work with German director Margarethe von Trotta and Hungarian filmmaker Bela Tarr to select the winner of the Toronto Platform Prize, an award of C$25,000 presented to the best film in the program.

Now in its fourth year, the program aims to champion up to 12 works with high artistic merit that also demonstrate a strong directorial vision.

The 43rd edition of the festival runs from Sept. 6 to 16, 2018, with the lineup for the Platform program set to be announced on August 7.

Lee has visited Toronto with "Oasis," "Secret Sunshine" and "Poetry." His latest, "Burning," is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 16.
