Stray Kids showed how its “free spirit” can be applied to its fashion.

A local fashion magazine on Thursday featured the photo shoot of the rising K-pop rookie group, in which the boys donned various styles of casual outfits ranging from stylish school uniforms to hooded T-shirts. The photos were also taken on streets, a representative setting for the group that adopted an image of street kids.

In an accompanying interview, the group said that it still vividly remembers its first stage for a music show. “We went up to the stage with a thought, ‘We are going to smash this stage, flip it over,” the members said.

The nine-member group, formed through a Mnet competition show of the same name that aired last year, debuted in March with its self-created first EP “I Am Not.”

Equipped with talents not only for vocals but also song writing and producing, Stray Kids garnered attention even before its debut as it was JYP’s first boy band in four years.

“We hope our fans to think about their own identity through our album, and contemplate on what they really want to do,” Bangchan said.
