Max of K-pop duo TVXQ demonstrated his cooking skills in front of chef Choi Hyun-seok in the footage of the duo’s upcoming reality show “72 Hours of TVXQ” released via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

The reality show will feature the two singers taking on new occupations -- U-know as a kindergarten teacher and Max working in a restaurant kitchen -- for 72 hours.

In the released footage, Max carefully cut garlic into pieces and fried them on the pan while studying Choi’s face to see if he is unpleasant about his cooking or even angry.

However, the singer ended up burning the garlic pieces while cutting the bacon. Frustrated Max kept making mistakes such as holding the chopsticks upside-down.

“If you think you can’t use it (the garlic pieces) you may throw it away and do it again,” Choi said.

When the singer repeatedly said sorry for the mistake, the chef said, “You don’t have to be sorry. It’s your dish.”

One of the most renowned chefs in Korea, Choi was known for his exaggerated movements, especially the way he sprinkled salt, which showed while appearing on JTBC’s cooking variety show “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator.”

The series “72 Hours” will air every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 a.m. on V app and Naver TV starting from April 30.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
