Actress Han Ga-in communicated with her fans in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

The actress heralded her return to the small screen after a six-year break with the new OCN drama “Mistresses.” It is her first work since the birth of her daughter in 2016.

When asked what she thought when she first read the script for the drama, she answered “(It was) ‘king’ fun.”

As using the word “king” in Korean to mean “very” is an outdated practice, she was teased by her co-stars in “Mistresses,” who were hosting the live broadcast together.

“I’m a bit outdated as I was busy caring for my baby” she said.

In the broadcast, she also revealed how she cooks at home.

“I personally don’t understand why people care about plating after cooking. You are going to eat it anyway,” she said.

When asked about her specialty dish, she said, “I can cook various Korean dishes. I’m best at making baby food recently.”

“My husband eats everything well, probably because he will get scolded if he doesn’t eat,” she said. “We usually have a meal consisting of rice, jjigae (stew) and vegetable side dishes.”

A remake of the popular BBC drama of the same name, “Mistresses” revolves around four ordinary women -- a cafe owner, a psychiatrist, a high school teacher and a paralegal -- with dark secrets. The four friends get caught up in a murder case of a mysterious man involved with one of them.

Actors Nam Gyu-ri, Lee Chun-hee and Lee Kyu-han, the main cast members of the upcoming thriller “Deja vu” (literal translation) spoke to their fans in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

In the broadcast, Lee Kyu-han promoted the film, saying, “In addition to us (three), a number of good actors appear on ‘Deja vu.’”

As the cast includes Dong Hyun-bae, who is the brother of Dong Young-bae, better known by his stage name Taeyang of Big Bang, he also talked about his co-actor.

“I got to know that Dong Hyun-bae’s brother is a famous person as I worked with him this time. It suddenly made him look good at acting,” he said.

The film is scheduled to hit theaters here in May.

Lyricist Kim Eana and JeA of girl group Brown Eyed Girls shared their thoughts on what it means to be a “nice person” in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

“JeA is a really nice person,” Kim said. “But while I was talking about being nice, I thought that the word ‘nice’ may hurt someone.”

“I also tried to be a nice person wherever I go,” JeA said. “As I thought I always needed to be a nice person, I could not refuse things even when I had to.”

However, the singer suggested that there are times when she must say no.

“It burdens you (if you don’t refuse). Sometimes it turns out to be big trouble if you don’t refuse, so I think it is important to say no from the start,” she said.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
