Hwang Chi-yeul revealed his wish to hold concerts in small theaters, during a showcase event live broadcast on Naver’s V app Tuesday.

The singer released his second mini album, “Be Myself,” the same day.

“My previous album took me 10 years to release, while it took 10 months to release this one,” Hwang said. “During that time, I worked hard writing songs while communicating with fans by appearing on TV shows such as ‘Immortal Song’ and ‘The Unit.’”

“I wanted to contain my musical color and love toward my fans (in the album),” he said.

During the event, the singer also revealed his wishes for the future, which included a concert tour around the globe.

He specified the venue as small theaters saying, “The big ones are for those such as BTS or EXO. I want to hold small concerts next to them.”

“I like the cozy atmosphere. I wanted to communicate (with the fans) more up close and have time to experience something live,” he said.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
