Boy band iKon promised to show new facets of its members in a reality show titled “iKon TV” in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Saturday.

In the broadcast, the iKon bandmates shared their difficulties in becoming producers for the show. They said it was not so easy for them, who are singers, to become the producers.

They said as all bandmates are the main producers of the show, the show would feature the group’s real life in the raw.

“It is usually more interesting to watch the drama without a script,” Yunhyung said when his bandmates showed their worries about coming across as strange on the show.

“iKon TV” will air every Saturday at 10 p.m.

GFriend
Girl group GFriend released some behind-the-scenes footage from its recent performance during 2018 KCON in Japan via Naver’s V app Saturday.

In the video which featured the GFriend bandmates at their waiting room, they shared their thoughts on returning to KCON Japan.

“It’s our second visit to KCON Japan!” Umji said. “I am going to be the special host today alongside Eunha. So I’m a bit nervous.”

“The theme of today’s makeup is the purple glitter under my eyes,” Sowon said. “It’s the color of the year. So I put purple glitter under my eyes!”

“You know we wore white colored sailor uniform when we came to KCON Japan last year but we wore something more mature today compared to last year,” Yerin said.

“When we came to KCON last year, I used to have short hair but now I have long hair,” Eunha said. “It’s not been so long since I got long hair.”

“Eunha and Yuju will have special performance today,” Yuju said. “The road we walked toward stage became very long so we got more time to meet our fans -- though it won’t be shown on camera. So during that time, we are going to communicate with fans.”

According to its organizer CJ E&M, the three-day event held at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba, east of Tokyo, from Friday to Sunday was attended by a combined audience of 68,000.

A total of 28 artists -- including Wanna One, TWICE, Gugudan, Pentagon, GFriend, MOMOLAND, Seventeen, Stray Kids and Monsta X -- participated in the annual K-pop event.

Girl group Lovelyz released a video featuring snippets from its fourth mini album “Heal” (unofficial translation) via Naver’s V app Saturday.

The video played audio samples from the album, which consists of six tracks, including its lead track “You On that Day,” “Heal,” “Bizarre,” “Temptation.” “Watercolor” and “Shining★Star.”

For “Temptation,” composer Davink, who was behind the group’s hit song “Ah-Choo,” teamed up with the group again.

The new release will mark the group’s first release in five months since they dropped its third EP “Fall in Lovelyz” in November last year.

Having debuted in November 2014, Lovelyz was the first all-female vocal band produced by Woolim Entertainment. The group has released solid hit singles including “Ah-choo,” “Destiny” and “Wow!”

“Healing” is to go on sale Monday at 6 p.m. Ahead of the release, Lovelyz will hold a special V app broadcast on Sunday at 8 p.m.
