Singer-turned-actress Yewon said her ideal type was singer Park Hyo-shin, during a recent interview for a photo shoot with local magazine BNT.

Asked about her thoughts on dating, she revealed that she easily gets hurt when in a romantic relationship.

“Dating, it actually takes a lot of work. I lose interest in dating when I have a lot of work to do,” she said.

“When I have low self-esteem, I don’t want to date. The thought that I may not be loved when I should be loved makes me sad.”




She also said she hopes to date a man “who could build up her self-esteem” while choosing signer Park Hyo-shin as her ideal type.

“My ideal type has been Park for a long time. He is a man who has a warm atmosphere, a man of my dreams,” she said.

Yewon debuted as a member of now-defunct K-pop girl group Jewerly in 2001. Alongside her singing career, she appeared on television in dramas, sitcoms and variety shows including “We Got Married,” where she paired up with singer Henry.

She had kept a low-profile after a video of her arguing with actress Lee Tae-im was leaked in 2015, but has been recently gearing up for a return to the small screen. She is currently preparing to shoot the upcoming tvN drama “What’s with Secretary Kim,” which is to premiere in June.
