K-pop singer Monday Kiz plans to release a remake of the popular Vietnamese pop song "Sau Tat Ca" this month, his agency said Friday.

Monday Kiz, whose real name is Lee Jin-sung, will release the remake of Vietnamese singer Erik's 2016 hit later this month, Monday Kiz Company said.

According to the company, the song originally released by Vietnamese boy band Monstar member Erik in 2016 topped the country's music charts upon release.

"We believe this is the first South Korean remake of a Vietnamese song. It will be a sweet and warm track," the company said.

Monday Kiz debuted in 2005 as a duo of Lee and Kim Min-soo. The group was later realigned into a trio after Kim died in a car accident in 2008. After years of hiatus, Lee in 2015 resumed activities as a solo artist while maintaining the Monday Kiz moniker. (Yonhap)
