Actress Park Shin-hye shared her life in the woods in a live broadcast held to promote tvN’s upcoming variety show “Little House in the Woods,” via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

The upcoming show, directed by Na Young-suk, will follow Park and So Ji-sub as they live off the grid in the middle of the woods, far from the reaches of other people and technology.

“My house had internet connection but didn’t have phone reception. I didn’t call someone but I listened to music and searched about things,” she said. “The air was really great. I also went on a picnic alone. I packed a lunchbox with food I’d like to have.”

When asked if there was anything she newly discovered while filming, she said, “I thought I have a lot of curiosity. It was not little.”

“If something jumps to my eyes, I would definitely do it. I realized that I’m bold and I am more like a doer (than a talker),” she said. “I think that life (in the woods) fits me well than I expected.”

Na is best known for producing popular variety programs such as “2 Days & 1 Night” “Grandpas over Flowers,” “Three Meals a Day” and “Yoon’s Kitchen.” Park starred in last year’s crime-thriller flick “Heart Blackened.”

The first episode of “Little House in the Woods” will air Friday at 9:50 p.m.

Rena of girl group Pristin shared her experience of watching horror movies in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

In the broadcast, she revealed that she recently went to watch “Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum.”

The hot new mystery-horror film released March 28 was a surprise hit, taking the top spot at the local box office in its first weekend, selling nearly 1 million tickets. Many people shared their experiences online, one commenter saying, “People behind me spilled the popcorn over my head because they were so surprised.”

“I recently ached all over after watching ‘Gonjiam,’” Rena said in the broadcast. “I get aches all over when I watch horror films. I also ached before after I watched a film called ‘Death Bell.’”

“Only 30 minutes after ‘Gonjiam’ started, I listened to Weki Meki’s songs (because it was too scary). As I didn’t watch much (of the film), I didn’t have a nightmare,” she said.

Pristin debuted last year. The group received media attention even before its debut, as seven of the 10 bandmates had already established a fan base through Mnet’s K-pop competition “Produce 101.”

Lee Ho-won

Lee Ho-won -- better known by his former stage name Hoya, of boy band Infinite -- communicated with fans ahead of a fan signing event in Yongsan, Seoul, in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

“I started the broadcast for those who can’t come,” he said. “As I’m holding the fan signing event after a long time, I am flustered. I’m so excited.”

When a fan suggested his hair and fashion looked great, he said, “What was interesting was that my hair and makeup stylists prepared really hard -- a little too much.”

“I didn’t know where to put myself as they cared too much. So I even said, ‘I’m sorry but I’m not heading to an award ceremony, but a fan signing event,’ but I feel grateful that they still worked hard,” he said. “I said it seemed like I need to have more scheduled.”

Lee debuted as a member of Infinite, but left the group in August last year as he did not renew his contract with the Woolim Entertainment agency, which expired in June.

He recently released his solo debut album “Shower,” featuring “All Eyes on Me” as the lead single.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
