Singer-songwriter IU dropped a surprise video for April Fool’s Day on YouTube.

In the video, IU says she is going to introduce a new song she has made and holds a tiny ukulele. But just after she opens her mouth to sing and poses to hit the strings on the toy-like ukulele, IU becomes frozen in that posture.

With a buffer symbol, a spinning circle, appearing on the screen, IU almost fools watchers that the video is taking time to load. However, the singer soon appears to be trembling to keep her pose.

When about a minute has passed, IU comes back to life and says, “I hope you enjoyed this new song,” and adds, laughing, “Please come up with a title for my song!”

After an interval, the rest of the video shows IU’s manager asking random questions and IU answering with her hand on a lie detector. Her manager introduces IU as “Lie U, master of lies.”

Viewers of the video jokingly commented, “Please include this new song on your next album” and “Your ukulele skills have improved.”
