Song Ji-hyo of the upcoming rom-com film “What a Man Wants” said she doesn’t do social media because she likes to keep her thoughts to herself.

“Social media is a matter of personal taste. There are people who like to voice out their opinions and there are those who keep their thoughts to themselves. (I’m the latter),” Song said at an interview with a group of reporters on Wednesday at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul.

“Voicing out a thought brings attention to the speaker. (When that happens) I tend to stiffen.”

Song describes herself as an introvert.

Song’s role in the film “What a Man Wants” is quite the opposite of her. Character Mi-young, the female protagonist, is a social media addict.

Mi-young’s husband Bong-soo is driven to join social media dating by his brother-in-law Seok-geun and falls into an extramarital relationship with a woman named Jenny, played by actress Lee El.

The intricate, tempestuous love life of middle-aged couples is based on a Czech film titled “Men In Hope (2011).”

“What a Man Wants” will be released on Thursday.
