South Korean boy band Big Bang topped four charts of QQ Music, the largest music streaming service in China, for its new single Friday, the group's management said.

"Flower Road" ranked No. 1 on the general new songs chart and three other charts of the Chinese service, which has more than 400 million users a month, according to YG Entertainment.

Released on Tuesday, the digital single continued its reign on all eight domestic music charts, including Melon, Genie, Bugs Music, Mnet and Soribada, as of 9 a.m.

In Japan, it currently stays on top of Japanese iTunes' general top songs chart.

The song serves as a farewell from the five-member band to its fans before a lengthy hiatus following the band members' enlistment in the Army.

After rapper T.O.P, three fellow members -- G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung -- have joined the military in the past weeks. Seungri plans to enlist after releasing a solo album sometime during the first half of the year.

In South Korea, all able-bodied men are legally obligated to complete a military service term of around two years, as the country is technically still at war with North Korea. (Yonhap)
