Singer-actor Lee Seung-gi shared his difficulties with variety shows in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

“I always get a headache after filming variety shows,” he said. “As I don’t think that I’m good at variety shows, I try hard. So I get a headache after filming variety shows.”

“But I still like variety shows as I laugh as much as the agony I experience,” he added.

He said he would give six stars for his compatibility with variety shows. “Actually you don’t have a lot of chances to laugh in life. But variety shows give me the motivation (of life).”

In the broadcast, he also talked about the SBS variety show “All the Butlers.”

The first episode of the SBS show was filmed in December when the temperature dipped below zero degrees Celsius.

“This winter was awful,” he said. “But I dress as plainly as possible for variety shows.”

He added that he had learnt how to behave on variety shows from TV personality Kang Ho-dong.

“You learn hard in ‘Kang Ho-dong training school,’ He tells people ‘Don’t wear caps for the opening sequence,’ ‘You don’t have the right to get exhausted,’”

Lee recently starred on a historical comedy film, “The Princess and the Matchmaker.”

In the new movie, he plays the role of Seo Do-yoon, the best diviner of the Joseon era, who tries to find a suitor who has the best marital compatibility with Princess Songhwa.

Actor Kim Young-kwang made chocolates for fans in a live broadcast via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

“White Day is next week. I was wondering how I should convey my gratefulness to my fans,” he said. “I should give candies but I thought chocolates would do better so I prepared to make chocolates.”

While Valentine’s Day is celebrated in Korea by women giving chocolates to men, March 14, or White Day, is celebrated by men giving candies to women as confessions of love or tokens or thanks.

The actor said that it was his first time making chocolates.

“You should know that I talk less when I’m focused on something. So I might not talk much. I will still try hard,” he said.

After he finished making the chocolates, he gift-wrapped them.

“I will try to wrap them well so that they can be delivered to fans,” he said. “(The chocolates) were done not so neat and tidy. But the effort is important.”

At the end of the broadcast, Kim said it was “unexpectedly fun” to make the chocolates. “It will be great if I acquire the skills,” he said.

Kriesha Chu

Filipino-American singer Kriesha Chu held a guerrilla fan meeting event in the Philippines, a V app video showed at midnight.

The video showed the singer visiting Manila, the Philippines, for a meeting with a broadcaster there.

After the meeting, she held a surprise fan event that gathered dozens of people.

When she was told that she has about 2,000 fans in Manila, she said, “2,000? I guess I should meet them all? I must meet them.”

“I will try hard to come back to meet them,” she said.

Chu recently released her first EP “Dream of Paradise,” which features the lead track “Like Paradise” produced by Hui of boy band Pentagon and producer team Flow Blow.
