J-Hope of BTS took to the V app Sunday to wrap up his birthday from the studio.

“There’s about, to be exact, 43 minutes left until the end of my birthday,” he said, starting up the broadcast. “I wanted to share this last moment with you so I started the V app broadcast.”

“To get so many birthday wishes in real time like this is such a great honor for me,” he said, reading fans’ birthday wishes in the comments.

As his birthday fell during the Lunar New Year’s holiday, which stretched from Thursday to Sunday, the singer said he spent the day fully enjoying time with his family.

“I don’t think I’ve spent enough time with my family. For this birthday, I had some quality time with them,” he said.

In the broadcast, J-Hope also celebrated the day with a birthday cake while playing the “Happy Birthday” song. As he did not have a candle, so blew out an imaginary one.

At the end of the broadcast, bandmate Jimin also appeared to convey birthday wishes.

“I don’t come to the office often but whenever I come, there’s some event like this,” Jimin said. “It seems like your birthday is celebrated for me.”

“Thank you for your birthday wishes and I’d like to thank Jimin also for dropping by before I leave,” J-Hope said, wrapping up the broadcast at midnight.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
