Boy band GOT7 thanked fans around the world in a live broadcast to celebrate the K-pop group being named one of the top 10 global artists on Naver’s V app Wednesday.

“Thank you as we were named (one of the top 10 global artists) this year following last year and as we are loved so much, we will try to show you good performances,” JB said.

The GOT7 bandmates also thanked the fans in English, Chinese, Japanese and French.

During the broadcast, the group was shown a video message from fans in Germany, Indonesia, Turkey and France. As most of the messages were from Turkey and France, the group said, “Oh, we have to go to Turkey,” “JYP please send us to France.”

The group also talked about recently spending time with fans.

“A while ago, we were encouraged by IGOT7s,” Jinyoung said referring to the group’s fan club. “It was a fan meeting event which took the concept that GOT7 research IGOT7’s fans and I loved it.” Usually the fans research the group.

As the show was held a day before the New Year holiday, the group wrapped up saying, “IGOT7s don’t be sick and have a great time with family during the New Year holiday,” “If you are bored, please listen to our song,” “I hope you have a Happy New Year spending precious time with us.”

Singer Hyolyn talked to her fans on the phone in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

When asked why the title of the broadcast was “I love you, customer,” the usual greeting message at a customer call center, the singer said, “To celebrate Valentine’s Day and Lunar New Year, I will hold a small event in which I will talk to fans over the phone.”

The singer gave out her business phone number so her fans could call her .

As she showed the number, which was in a tiny-sized font, the fans commented, “Is it an eye test?” “I thought it was some ants.”

“I wanted to hold the V app a little longer. I wanted it to be fun,” Hyolyn said.

When a fan complained about working over the New Year’s holiday on the phone, she said, “I work too. I have to work hard in order to show good singing.”

After some calls, she wrapped up the broadcast saying, “It’s sad as I wanted to do this with more people. It’s more fun to talk with you than just talking alone (to a camera).”

“It was good that I could be with fans in various contents. I was glad that I could communicate with fans,” she said.

She recently released a new song “To Do List” on Feb. 6.

Kim So-hee

Singer Kim So-hee gave greetings for the New Year in a video released via Naver’s V app Wednesday.

“It feels more meaningful as it’s my first year and first holiday I greet you not as trainee-singer or TV personality, but as singer,” the starlet said.

“Happy New Year! Eat lots of good food and don’t forget to drive safely on your journey home and back to Seoul,” she said. “I wish you health and happiness this year.”

Kim appeared on Mnet’s idol competition show “Produce 101” in 2016 and finished the show at No. 13, failing to secure a spot in the final 11-member group I.O.I.

In August 2016, she debuted as a member of project girl group I.B.I which consisted of five contestants on the show who finished the show at No.12-17. The group disbanded in November that year.

In November last year, she debuted as a solo artist with her first mini album “The Fillette.”
