Actress Shin Se-kyung of “Black Night” said she plans to take a break, as her KBS2 drama series came to an end last week.

“Jung Hae-ra, my role in the drama, is a very independent and progressive woman. She knows when to depend on someone or to endure things alone. I liked how she knows how to give love to someone, rather than just receiving it,” she said in an interview alongside a photo shoot for High Cut magazine.

The photos released Wednesday showed Shin posing against pink backgrounds, evoking the warmth of spring.

“From ‘The Bride of Habaek’ to ‘Black Night,’ I’ve fully filled my hottest and coldest time with work. Now I plan to take a break and recharge,” she said.

Shin, who began her life in entertainment after appearing in legendary singer Seo Tae-ji’s music video for “Take 5,” also expressed gratitude for her nearly 20-year career.

“I can’t help but think that this work is getting more complicated. But one thing for sure is that I will live with gratitude, even if it doesn’t work out as planned,” she added.
