Veteran actor Kim Myung-min will return to the small screen for the first time in two years in a new KBS 2TV series with the working title “Miracle We Met,” the channel said Monday.

According to the drama creators, Kim will play lead role Song Hyun-chul in the new Monday-Tuesday drama, which centers on a dramatic change of Song’s materialistic and opportunistic lifestyle. The drama unfolds as Song, who has been estranged from family due to his work life, learns to care for others by living a life of a man who has the same name and age as him, but has lived a life completely
the opposite of Song’s.

“By depicting Song’s life both as a father neglected by his own family and a workaholic, the drama plans to shed light on lives of fathers today,” the drama creators said.

Kim rose to stardom with MBC’s medical drama “White Tower” in 2007 and “Beethoven Virus” in 2008. The actor also starred in various films including “Detective K: Secret of the Lost Island” in 2015,
“Pandora” in 2016 and “Monster” last year. His most recent drama was SBS’ “Six Flying Dragons,” which aired from 2015 to 2016.
