Yoon Doo-joon of boy band Highlight said he is enjoying playing a top star in upcoming KBS drama series “Radio Romance,” during a press conference that broadcast via Naver’s V app Thursday.

The TV drama tells the story of a top actor who becomes a radio disc jockey, with Yoon in the lead role.

“I had difficulties understanding the character as there is no similarity between the character and me except the occupation,” he said. “But the director explained (the character) in detail and we talked a lot. As he gave detailed direction, I could play the part without much trouble.”

“I feel burdened, as this is a kind of character I am playing for the first time, but I am filming with much fun, enjoying the feeling of top stars.”

This marks the singer and actor’s return to a drama series over two years after he last starred in MBC’s web drama “Splash Splash Love” in 2015.

He started appearing on TV in 2010 with MBC’s sitcom “All My Love.” He has since starred in KBS drama “Iris II: New Generation” and two seasons of tvN’s “Let’s Eat.”

The first episode of “Radio Romance” airs Monday.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
