K-pop girl group Black Pink went on a vacation to Thailand in the latest episode of its reality show “Black Pink House,” which aired via Naver’s V app Saturday.

In the episode, Krunk, a representative character of YG Entertainment referred to as the “YG Bear,” visited the group’s house to deliver a letter from the agency’s CEO Yang Hyun-suk.

“Go on a vacation to Thailand, Lisa’s country. I will never contact you (during the vacation) so enjoy well,” the letter read.

Lisa got very excited about visiting her home country after a long time. “She feels great as she came back to her hometown!” her bandmates teased.

With great confidence, she guided her bandmates around the city and took them to a good restaurant.

However, she soon remained puzzled at many things as the town had changed a lot over the time.

“When I went back to Melbourne, Australia after five years, there were so many new buildings!” Rose said, sympathizing with Lisa.

Rainz
K-pop boy band Rainz celebrated the 100th day since its debut with “baekiljabi” in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Saturday.

“Today is the 100th day since Rainz was born,” Kim Seong-li said at the beginning of the broadcast.

To celebrate the achievement, the group held “baekiljabi,” a variation to “doljabi” which is a fortune telling ritual conducted in Korea when a baby reaches his or her first birthday.

In the ceremony, the child is placed in front of various objects and then encouraged to grab one or two items from the set. The tradition is that what the baby grabs at the ceremony represents an aspect of the baby’s future career or lifestyle.

In the broadcast, instead of actually grabbing the items, the Rainz bandmates drew lots.

Kim picked the microphone which represents singing, while Seo Sung-hyuk got the thread, which represents a long life.

Hong Eun-ki grabbed a stethoscope, which usually represents a career in medicine, but the band took it as meaning his songs would heal fans’ hearts.

Byun Hyun-min grabbed a gun, which they took to represent accurate aiming at fans’ tastes; Jang Dae-hyeon grabbed rice, which represents eating; and Lee Ki-won grabbed the money which represents prosperity. Unfortunate Joo Won-tak lost the draw and got nothing.

Rainz consists of seven singer trainees who starred in the second season of Mnet’s K-pop competition show “Produce 101.”

The second season of “Produce 101” brought together 101 male trainees to compete for spots in a new group. The seven members of Rainz failed to secure spots in the final 11-member group, but enjoyed high popularity thanks to the show, which eventually led to their debuting as a group jointly managed by their seven agencies.

Arin of K-pop girl group Oh My Girl revealed her interest in perfume in a video released via Naver’s V app Saturday.

The broadcast showed the singer visiting a perfume atelier in Ikseon-dong in Seoul.

“I was busy recently so to refresh myself, I came to Ikseon-dong to look around something I like,” the singer said. “I originally like scents. I like fruit scents and also flower scents. I recently became interested in finding a scent which goes along with me.”

In the broadcast, she tried making her own perfume to present to her mother.

“On my mother’s birthday, I bought perfume for her with my pocket money for the first time (when I was young),” she said. “It’s amazing! It feels very different as this time I made (the perfume) by myself.”
