K-pop rookie singer Samuel received advertisements in Times Square as a birthday gift.

Samuel appeared Wednesday on a total of 11 screens in Times Square in New York City.

A Chinese fan page reportedly paid for the ads to celebrate his 17th birthday. On Wednesday, Samuel became the youngest K-pop artist to appear on screens in Times Square.

Meanwhile, Samuel dropped a new single, “Winter Night,” on Tuesday, as a surprise for fans.

The singer rose to stardom last year through the second season of Mnet’s “Produce 101.” He released his first full-length album “Eye Candy” in the same year.
