Actor Park Yu-chun will likely face a probe by police for an incident in which his pet dog bit an acquaintance seven years ago.

According to Gangnam Police Station on Wednesday, the acquaintance belatedly filed a complaint against Park with investigators over the incident that happened in 2011.

The victim was allegedly bitten on the face around the eyes, and was still suffering from grave aftereffects.

Although the victim’s identity was not disclosed, the victim was reportedly close with the manager of Park’s agency and had visited Park’s house.

At the time, the victim had not filed a complaint as Park’s mother had apologized. However, the victim reportedly resorted to raising the issue now following prolonged medical treatment to remove scars from the dog bite.

Yonhap News Agency reported that the victim had not received any compensation when the incident occurred, due to the friendship with Park’s then-manager.

Park’s agency C-Jes Entertainment said, “If no actions were taken seven years ago, the issue would have broken out then. We believe that we paid for the hospital treatment and offered official apology to the victim.”

The agency is reportedly being asked to compensate 1.2 billion won ($1.1 million).

C-Jes will verify the victim’s medical records for the past seven years and settle the matter.

In October 2017, Super Junior singer Choi Si-won was embroiled in a scandal after his family dog bit his neighbor, leading to the victim contracting sepsis and her subsequent death.
