Boy band Seventeen took to the V app Thursday to thank fans for their support after winning at the 32nd Golden Disc Awards at Kintex convention center in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on the same day.

The group was presented the Bonsang, or Main Prize, at the event.

“I think we can begin 2018 with good grace,” Mingyu said. “Fans have been telling us not to be sick, but we are well. Please take care of your health too.”

“Thanks to fans, we received awards at the Golden Disc Awards for the third straight year,” Woozi said. “In 2018, we will work hard to make you like us even more.”

“We will work actively starting from our special album release in February,” Jeonghan said. “We will make 2018 a year when we live up to your expectations.”

“We don’t know how long you will like Seventeen but we’ll like (fans) endlessly,” Seungkwan added.

Winner bandmates Jinwoo and Seungyoon showed the best teamwork while preparing a birthday surprise for Seunghoon during a live broadcast via Naver’s V app Thursday.

Seungyoon introduced what the two had prepared for their bandmate’s birthday.

“We didn’t know each of us would buy a cake,” Seungyoon said.

The camera then revealed two cakes that were exactly the same.

“How could we buy the same cake from the same brand of the same characters?” Seungyoon wondered.

When Seunghoon arrived, he suggested that they also celebrate Seungyoon’s birthday, which falls on Jan. 21, as they had two cakes.

“What’s that -- celebrating my birthday with the cake that I bought?” Seungyoon said

Despite his bewilderment, Seungyoon posed with Seunghoon, with each holding a cake to the camera.

South Korean boy band Noel promised fans that they would work hard this year during a live broadcast via Naver’s V app Thursday.

The Noel bandmates expressed their regret at not doing anything special to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their debut.

“We held concerts every end of the year, but we didn’t have a concert last year, so it felt as if we didn’t wrap up the year properly,” Lee Sang-on said.

“We still felt grateful when many people congratulated us via social media. Thank you for liking our songs for such a long time,” he said.

The band members also revealed that they had shot new profile photos for their new agency.

C-Jes Entertainment -- home to many popular actors -- announced at the beginning of this year that it had signed the band.

The Noel bandmates said they were amazed to meet actors whom they had seen on films. They also revealed that actor Choi Min-Sik suggested that they should drink soju together sometime.

The band promised fans that they would work hard to release an album as soon as possible.
