Actor Ryoo Seung-ryong said he had to gain weight for his role in the upcoming supernatural action comedy “Psychokinesis,” in a live broadcast via Naver’s V app Tuesday.

“I was slim as I’d been preparing for another work, but the director asked me to make my body shape like his,” he said.

“As I studied his body shape, the fat was focused on one part of the body.”

Helmed by the director of megahit zombie flick “Train to Busan,” the film tells the story of an ordinary man who discovers that he can move objects with his mind. He uses his newly discovered ability to save his daughter from trouble.

“Psychokinesis” will hit local theaters in late January.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
