Sungjong of Infinite opened up about his self-written solo track being included in the group’s third full-length album “Top Seed” in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Sunday.

“My song was fresh. Who else would have done it if not me?” he said with confidence.

However, when asked why his track was chosen for the album, he said, “To be frank, I don’t know. There was another version originally but the rock band version was included (in the album) unexpectedly.”

“May be the album needed some exciting song,” he said humbly.

Still he was very excited about the inclusion. “The band version was very fresh and I was so glad as it was the first time that my solo track was included in our full-length album. It’s the song which showed my own style the best,” he said.

Sungyeol, who did not have his solo track on the album, was rather cool about the decision.

“I was relieved personally,” he said. “(The solo tracks) were produced for the fan meeting events. I thought the tracks are for the events so I did not try too much.”

The album will mark the group’s first album as a six-piece act. Hoya officially left the group in August after failing to reach an agreement with the agency on a contract extension.

Kim Kyu-jong of SS501

Kim Kyu-jong of SS501 greeted his fans ahead of a fan event held in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Sunday.

“Happy New Year everyone!” he greeted fans starting up the broadcast. “I’m at the fan signing event for ‘Play In Nature Part. 3 Snowflake.’ I will soon begin the event.”

“It’s very cold here so I’m warming myself at a stove,” he said sitting next to a stove. “I hope your 2018 is warm like this stove.”

The singer released his third single album “Play in Nature Part. 3 Snowflake” on Jan. 1.

Boy band Stray Kids communicated with its fans in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app Sunday.

Starting up the broadcast, the group greeted its fans saying, “It is the day before the release. We had been practicing but we started the broadcast as we missed you.”

The group is scheduled to release its pre-debut album “Mixtape” on Monday at noon.

During the broadcast, the group revealed some anecdotes from filming the teaser video.

“We were filming on the rooftop and some cats came along and filmed together.”

The bandmates said they were glad that the video turned out to be a good one though it was very cold while filming for the video.

When asked who looked best on the teaser, all the bandmates hesitated to answer saying, “Everyone looks good (in the teaser). We cannot pick one.”

The group looked excited the day before their big day. They said they get really excited when they imagine the fans sing-along together to their songs.

Nine-member group Stray Kids is a boy band that debuted through the Mnet competition show of the same name. The band is JYP Entertainment’s first K-pop band project since “Sixteen” in 2015.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
