Celebrating the last day of 2017, the singer took to V app to greet fans. In the clip, IU appeared with long curly black hair, wearing a silk brown blouse and a matching skirt.

She kicked off the V app, saying her fans did well in 2017.

“It’s the end of 2017. Wondering what the year of 2017 was like for you, I hope that all of us were the protagonists of our lives,” she said. “For me, you fans are the central characters of my life.”

She thanked the fans for their support and love.

“I worked hard in 2017, without regret. But don’t get me wrong. 2018 will not be different,” she said. “I will be everywhere for you, in your rooms, smartphones and earphones. You will not be lonely.”

Infinite dropped hints about the release of its new album via Naver’s V app Sunday.

The boys wore white casualwear -- sweaters, jeans, sneakers and shirts. They were in a studio, decorated with the theme “Planterior,” meaning decorating the inner space with green plants.

Kim Myoung-soo, with the stage name L, started the broadcast by wishing fans a happy New Year. He added, “We will be working hard in 2018.”

Another member said, “I hope that fans achieve their goals in 2018. The goal of Infinite is to release a new album.”

Seongkyu, the leader of the boy band, playfully scolded him, “What are you talking about? When this clip is released, it will become official that we will be releasing a new album.”

Infinite is to drop a new album “Top Seed” on Jan. 8. It will be the group’s first work as a sextet, after its former member Hoya left the group.
