Ryu Jun-yeol embarked on a plastic-free challenge in collaboration with Greenpeace in Taiwan.

The actor’s eco-friendly mission, which was revealed in a V broadcast Friday, took place at a night market in Taipei.

He first headed to a bubble tea parlor, where he asked for his beverage to be served in a reusable cup he had brought. He also used
a metallic reusable straw instead of a plastic one.

Although tapioca pearls got stuck in the metallic straw, he nevertheless enjoyed the drink.

Ryu then went to a street food joint, where he ordered a minced-pork dish. There, he used a biodegradable plate made of palm leaves. “This plate was made without having a single tree cut!” he said.

He wrapped up the broadcast by looking back at the challenge. “It was a fun experience. I actually felt like I was contributing to the environment. Please join me in the plastic-free campaign.”
