‘Infinite Challenge’ emerges top on-demand show: Pooq TV

Entertainment show “Infinite Challenge” was the most watched on-demand video on Pooq TV this year, with 15,610,000 hours spent watching the show on the online provider of TV broadcasts and movies.

Pooq TV, one of the biggest on-demand video providers in Korea, on Monday released data on the popular shows on its platform in 2017.

In the period between the beginning of January and the end of November this year, “Infinite Challenge” was the most consumed program on Pooq TV, followed by “Knowing Bros” and “My Little Old Boy.”

Of the total viewership, 50 percent were devoted to entertainment, 38 percent to drama and 8 percent to current affairs.

In the entertainment section, other notable works include “I Live Alone,” “Running Man,” “Radio Star” and “Hyori’s Bed & Breakfast.”

In the drama section, “My Father is Strange” took out the top spot, followed by “Fight For My Way,” “Strong Woman Do Bong-soon,” “Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People” and “Band of Sisters.”

In the action movies category, “Master” and “The King” were popular while in the fantasy genre, “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” stood out.

“La La Land” topped romance genre, while “Luck-Key” dominated the comedy category and “Your Name” stood out in animated movie genre.
