Line Friends launches BTS character line ‘BT21’

Line Friends, portal site Naver’s brand of animated characters, has launched a collection in collaboration with K-pop band BTS called “BT21,” the company announced Sunday.

The characters were unveiled at a pop-up store inside Boon the Shop Cheongdam in Seoul Sunday amid a packed crowd, Line Friends said. The characters were also launched at the Line Friends Time Square store in New York City on Saturday.

The “BT21” characters will be officially available for purchase next year at the Line Friends flagship stores in Itaewon and Myeongdong and at the online store. Internationally, the character products will be available at stores in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Thailand next year.
