Film “Steel Rain,” featuring Jung Woo-sung and Kwak Do-won, drew over 1 million moviegoers as of Saturday -- in three days since its release last Thursday.

According to the Korean Film Council, the film broke its record of 1 million viewers one day ahead of film director Yang Woo-suk’s past production “The Attorney” (2013) and Yoon Je-kyoon’s “Ode to My Father” (2014).

Directed by Yang Woo-suk, “Steel Rain” depicts a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula following the death of former North Korean leader Kim Jong-il in 2011.
