After Cho-a announced her departure from AOA in June, the six-membered girl group will be embarking on its “2017 FNC Kingdom in Japan - Midnight Circus” two-day family concert, starting on Saturday.

It is AOA‘s first official stage performance with only six members following Cho-a’s departure. Since then, AOA did not make many public appearances except for accompanying President Moon Jae-in on his visit to Southeast Asia and promoting the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.

AOA has been busily preparing for the family concert in Japan. With their new album slated for release early next year, music industry insiders are describing the family concert to be the group‘s “warm-up exercise for the upcoming album.”

If the latter half of 2017 was focused on independent activities, AOA vowed to make a strong comeback as a whole group in February or March.

FNC Entertainment confirmed that Cho-a, who has left the group, still remains under contract with the agency without any official activities in the entertainment industry.
