Actor Park Bo-gum recently shared why he chose to appear in last year‘s TV drama “Love In the Moonlight” in an interview with Japanese media.

“When I first got the script, I felt that it would be the perfect drama to frame my 24-year-old self, which was how old I was at the time,” Park told Japan’s K-star Lovers. Park turned 24 this June, but he was 24 in 2016 according to a Korean method of calculating one‘s age.

Despite being one of the hottest stars in Korea, Park said he still felt he had a long way to go as an actor.

“I think actors are people that never stop learning. That’s the kind of actor I want to become,” he said.

He was recently featured on the cover of Japanese magazine “Hanryu Senpuu,” which is about Hallyu stars.
