Boy band Astro made an ‘untimely’ appearance on Naver’s V app, dressed as noblemen from medieval Joseon dynasty.

The bandmates opened up the broadcast in a fanciful manner, using archaic language to greet the viewers.

On each one’s head sat a Gat, a type of Korean traditional hat worn by Joseon era men to represent social status.

The bandmates were also clad in majestic silk Durumagi, an overcoat in Korean traditional garment.

“Thou take a guess why we are dressed like this,” said Eunwoo in an exaggerated voice.

He said the costumes are for a fan meet & greet event, and the band decided to broadcast themselves for those who couldn’t come to the event.

The bandmates expressed special gratitude to the fans who came as well as those who couldn’t come but showed support in other ways.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
