[V Report Plus] Apink’s Namjoo transforms into ‘Juliet by Shakespeare’

Namjoo of K-pop group Apink shared her excitement for her theater debut as Juliet in production “Romeo and Juliet” via Naver’s V app Tuesday.

“Hi, everyone. I’m fine, thank you and you? Finally the first performance for Romeo and Juliet! It is the first official announcement via a live broadcast about my months of rehearsal,” The singer-actress exclaimed.

She thanked fans for giving her so much support and love during the two to three months of practice leading up to the first curtain call on Nov. 25.

“I don’t feel as anxious as I had expected, but I’m rather excited to come see fans support me throughout the musical production,” Namjoo said.

Namjoo gave a shout-out to her fans, fellow co-actors and actresses and production staff for helping her successfully debut as a musical actress. She ended the broadcast by offering, “I hope you watch our performance with thoughts of people you love in mind.”

“Romeo and Juliet” opened on Nov. 25 at Seoul’s Daehangno Arts Theater in Jongno-gu, Seoul and will run until Dec. 3.
