Actress Park Shin-hye has donated 50 million won ($45,510) to Korea Food for the Hungry International to help recent earthquake victims in Pohang, North Gyeongsang Province on Thursday, the organization said Tuesday.

The money will be used to help children in Pohang, the southeastern city recently hit by a magnitude 5.4 earthquake, to improve their residential environment and manage their post-traumatic stress.

Park has been the face of the KFHI since 2011, and she had formed a charity project group with her fans in 2012. She has been working with her fan club to help children in Korea since it was founded.

In November 2016, she was named as a spokesperson for KFHI’s Philanthropy Club, which aims to provide low-income families in Korea with educational and child care benefits.
