EXP Edition, the first and only K-pop group to have zero Korean members, is active on the V app now.

Its tagline is “born in NY, made in Seoul,” and the group has four singers: Sime Kosta from Croatia; Koki Tomlinson, who is half Japanese and half German; Frankie Daponte who is Portuguese; and Hunter Kohl from New York.

EXP Edition debuted in April with its first album “Feel Like This,” surprising K-pop fans with both its unconventional pick of members and their competent Korean-language abilities.

The four K-pop singers are still working to hone their Korean abilities to perfection.

The group opened its V app channel on Nov. 2. In its latest V live broadcast, EXP Edition practiced Korean for an upcoming vocabulary test they all had to take.

The group is also active on television shows. Sime took part in the TV program “Phantom Singer2” in October, and Koki is currently a participant of the audition program “The Unit.”

Super Junior

The members of Super Junior on Wednesday shared how they feel about the long-running idol group, via a V broadcast titled “Super Junior Returns.”

Only six of the currently seven-piece group appeared in the broadcast. Choi Si-won was absent, as he is embroiled in a scandal involving his family dog, which bit a woman who later died of sepsis.

The Super Junior members reminisced on their collective past, including the time when they opened their hit song “U” to fans free of charge.
The group also said they missed Kyuhyun, who is away serving his military service.

“It has been four months since Kyuhyun entered the military service. He will be released in May 2019,” said Heechul. “Will we be able to make a new album then?”

“We might end up working into our 40s,” joked Lee Teuk.

“Whether we disband or not, I hope we can continue the friendship of ‘Super Junior,’” said Shindong.

Super Junior released its eighth regular EP “PLAY” on Monday. The group debuted in 2005.

Red Velvet

Red Velvet revealed a 30-second highlight clip of its upcoming song “Look,” on the V app Wednesday.

“Look” is a song that is part of the K-pop group’s upcoming new album “Perfect Velvet.”

The album is much-anticipated, with even the US’ Billboard mentioning the album’s song “Peek-A-Boo.”

Billboard on Wednesday said on its website that “Red Velvet is looking to dominate the end of 2017 with their newly announced upcoming release.”

“Perfect Velvet” will be released on Nov. 17. Red Velvet will showcase songs from the album on KBS on the same day.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
