IU may return to the small screen soon, as she is considering a role in tvN’s upcoming drama series “My Man,” according to the network.

The cable channel said Wednesday that IU has been offered the lead role of Lee Ji-ahn, a 20-something female contract worker who has been living with her ailing grandmother since she was a child and who struggles with debt problems. The story unfolds after Lee meets an older man, played by actor Lee Sun-kyun, as the two become close and take care of each other.

“Nothing has been decided yet about IU taking the role. We are still waiting for her to confirm,” drama series staff said.

If IU takes on the role, “My Man” will mark her first acting project in two years, following “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.” She previously starred in TV series such as “The Producers,” “You‘re the Best, Lee Soon-shin” and “Dream High.”
