5 K-pop tunes for fall
November has arrived, and the cityscape here in Seoul is currently colored by the yellow of autumnal gingko trees and the clear blue sky. Here are a few mellow K-pop tunes to ease you into the chilly seasons.
1. Be Natural -- Red Velvet
This is a remake of the 2001 track by the iconic girl group S.E.S. The jazzy song was considered way ahead of its time during its initial release, and it still feels plenty trendy to this day.
2. Time And Fallen Leaves -- Akdong Musician
Chankyuk, the older brother and composer of the sibling duo, is currently serving his mandatory military service. But his songwriting skills and Suhyun’s stirring voice can still be enjoyed through this song.
3. Busker Busker -- Bus Stop
Another cover by Busker Busker, the song sings of that lonesome feeling when you’re sitting at a bus stop at dusk, waiting for a bus.
4. At Gwanghwamun -- Kyuhyun
This wistful love ballad by Super Junior’s soft-voiced vocalist will remind you of Seoul’s streets strewn with fallen leaves.
5. Stay -- Black Pink
The sole acoustic release by the powerful K-pop quartet, this song is perfect for a moody, hip autumn day.
