Japanese singer Kangnam is slated to visit the Republic of Ghana to shoot a TV show, the homeland of another Korea-based foreign celebrity against whom he inadvertently uttered remarks that were seen by many as racist.

According to local media reports, former vocalist for now-disbanded K-pop group M.I.B will is scheduled to visit the African country later in the month to shoot SBS program “Mom‘s Diary - My Ugly Duckling.” Accompanying him will be singer Tony An and TV celebrity Sam Okyore, who was subjected to the said remarks last month.

During an episode of “Mom’s Diary,” Kangnam asked if there were TVs, broadcasting stations, night clubs or even buildings in the country. Although Okyore laughed it off, he later admitted that he was shocked at such questions.

The comments sparked furor here, and Kangnam issued a public apology.
