KBS’ reality show “2 Days & 1 Night” will air a special episode dedicated to the late actor Kim Joo-hyuk, who recently died in a car accident.

The program announced that it would air a special episode at 6:20 p.m. on Sunday instead of its regular episode to commemorate the death of the Kim, who had featured in the show from December 2013 to December 2015.

“We don’t know how the special episode will be like, but I know that the program staff have poured their heart out while working on it,” the said program’s insider.

It has been reported that Kim, one of the best-received permanent members of the program, had visited staff and remaining show members often even after he left the show.

Kim, 45, was driving when he hit another car then veered off the road, sending his vehicle violently flipping down the stairs in front of an apartment complex in Samseong-dong, southern Seoul, on Oct. 30.

An autopsy revealed the cause of death to be a fatal head injury. His ashes were interred at his family’s columbarium in Seosan, South Chungcheong Province.
