Sunmi faced the rumors of homosexuality surrounding her.

Sunmi, the solo artist who originally debuted in 2007 with girl group Wonder Girls, shared a photo making a peace sign via her Instagram account on Tuesday. She captioned the image, “Is there anything wrong with my nails?”

Rumors have since circulated Twitter that Sunmi is homosexual -- and her short nails in the picture are being offered as proof.

In her Instagram photos, Sunmi’s nails are usually short and round, without decoration.

“Short nails are a stereotype for lesbians,” one Twitter user posted. Others also contended that Sunmi was revealing her sexual identity through the photos.

Many others criticized the comments, one saying, “Discussing one’s sexual identity could be impolite and may even be a sexual harassment.”

Another user added, “Short nails are just short nails. That is all there‘s to it.”
