KBS’ upcoming K-pop audition program “The Unit” released its music video on Friday for the show’s first co-ed song “My Turn.”

The video drew more than 300,000 views within one day, proving viewers’ interest in the audition show.

The show, dubbed “Idol Rebooting Project,” brings together singers who have already debuted but failed to gain public recognition and offer a venue in which they compete for a spot in project groups -- one girl group and one boy band. Viewers will vote for their favorite singers to decide the finalists.

Many people expressed their excitement and support to the program with p1kv**** offering, “How much more attention they want before the show to air! They made the song and music video well!”

“I think it’s going to be an interesting competition. They’re not amateurs but experienced participants,” v5ki**** wrote.

Some people, however, suggested that the program’s format is too similar to that of Mnet’s hit show “Produce 101.”

A netizen wrote, “akb48+Produce 101=The Unit” while another wrote, “Apart from anything else, they are enough to be blamed for that public broadcasting imitated a program from a commercial broadcasting. Moreover, KBS did this not once or twice.” Others supported the show nevertheless.

The 14-episode program will premiere on Oct. 28.
