Suzy revealed why she renewed her contract with her management agency JYP Entertainment.

“By the time of the renewal, I intentionally didn’t contact her for four months not to put a burden on her,” Park Jin-young, head of the JYP Entertainment, said Saturday on SBS’ “Party People,” a talk show he hosts.

“She dragged on for four months and decided on a renewal. It was not of an incredible offer but of faith and trust. One thing clear was that she was not thinking over money,” he said.

“I was thinking between whether I should work with people I used to work with or with the new people,” the singer-actress said. “After all, I decided to work again with those who debuted me and has worked with so far.”

Suzy’s original contract expired earlier in spring. It had drawn keen attention within the entertainment industry whether she would remain with JYP or move to a new agency. In august, JYP announced that it renewed its contract with her.
