K-pop boy band NU’EST W is preparing to return to the music scene with its upcoming EP “W. Here.”

Over the weekend, the group took to the V app to release a video that featured audio samples of all six tracks of the album including the lead track “Where You At,” and individual teaser videos of its members JR and Ren.

It will be the group’s first full-scale return since it appeared on the second season of Mnet’s audition program “Produce 101.” The band dropped the single “If You” in July, but did not carry out many promotional activities.

The five-piece NU’EST debuted in 2012. The music video of its first single “Face” drew more YouTube viewers than that of “Mama” by the K-pop juggernaut EXO.

Despite its positive start, the group soon faced setbacks with a series of unsuccessful works including two full-length albums, five EPs and various singles.

Earlier in the year, Ren, JR, Baekho and Hwang Min-hyun of the group participated in “Produce 101” in the hope of reviving the group.

All except Hwang failed to secure a spot in Wanna One, which is made up of the 11 winners of the show. However, NU’EST succeeded in regaining public attention.

As Hwang had to leave the group due to his activities with Wanna One, the group decided to resume its activities as the four-member subgroup NU’EST W.
