Yerin of girl group GFriend will temporarily sit out from her group’s activities due to appendicitis, Source Music said Monday.

The singer complained of a stomachache at “SBS Inkigayo Super Concert in Daejeon” on Sunday and took a medical examination at a nearby hospital. She was diagnosed with appendicitis.

The doctor’s verdict was that although she doesn’t need an operation at the moment, she needs to take rest for a while and undergo an operation right away if the condition worsens. Due to this she will not participate in any activities from Sept. 28 to Oct. 1.

“We ask for the Buddy (GFriend‘s fan club name) and all the fans to understand the decision which considered Yerin’s health,“ the agency said. ”We are sorry to worry those who support GFriend. We ask for your continued support.“
