Ok Taec-yeon of 2PM started his mandatory military service Monday, according to JYP Entertainment.

The agency announced Monday that the singer enlisted in the military camp in Goyang in Gyeonggi Province at 2 p.m.

The agency also issued an apology for not being able to inform the media the time and place of Ok’s enlistment earlier, as the singer wanted to enlist quietly without the press.

Celebrating the group’s 9th anniversary, 2PM appeared on Naver V app on Sunday as a whole group, which was Ok’s last broadcast before his enlistment. He also recently finished shooting the last episode of “Save Me” on Aug. 28.

Ok debuted with the boy band 2PM in 2008. Since he embarked on his acting career with “Cinderella’s Sister” in 2010, Ok has been in several dramas, including “Dream High” in 2011, “Who Are You?” in 2013 and “Let’s Fight, Ghost” last year.
