Ryu Jun-yeol expressed his utmost respect for Song Kang-ho and Yoo Hae-jin, his co-stars for the box office hit “Taxi Driver.”

“Song’s acting is like a huge mountain that is strong and deep, like a tiger. … Yoo’s acting is a precious gift given with sincerely, like the sun and moon,” he said on Naver’s V app Friday.

“Taxi Driver” is a film inspired by the story of German journalist Jurgen Hinzpeter, who helped reveal the truth behind the 1980 Gwangju Pro-democracy Uprising. Its protagonist is a taxi driver played by Song, a materialistic man who starts to change amid the turmoil.

Ryu plays one of the college students who stood up against the authoritarian regime.

“I’m so happy that so many people ? young, old, male or female ? showed so much support for this movie,” he said, expressing his thanks to moviegoers, as the picture had surpassed 9.5 million views.

Ryu did not mention his girlfriend, Hyeri. It was the first time that he was making a public appearance since admitting that he is dating the Girl’s Day member.

NCT Dream

NCT Dream talked about its recent release while digging into chicken on the Naver V app Friday.

While waiting for the chicken to be placed in front of them, the members said, “We didn’t have dinner so we would be able to finish this chicken. NCT 127 couldn’t do it either.”

As the chicken was served, all six members exclaimed in unison, “Chicken is our one and only soul food.”

Happily enjoying their favorite food, they started to talk about their latest EP “We Young,” which was released Thursday.

Haechan said, “All I could think about was to show this album to our fans. We are also currently talking about how great the new songs are.”

The members also shared an episode that happened while filming a music video for the new single.

“On the last day of the shooting, we had a bet on which member would make a mistake during dancing, with the loser having to buy chicken for us all,” they said, adding that they could have delicious chicken thanks to Renjun.

Wonho and Kihyun of Monsta X took to the Naver V app in Osaka. The two were walking down a night market full of street vendors and restaurants.

Although they said they just had dinner, Wonho and Kihyun started exploring the food at the market, such as katsuobushi.

While eating katsuobushi, the two were startled by how hot it was.

“We have to get up very early tomorrow morning because we have to perform at the Summer Sonic Festival from Saturday to Sunday in Osaka and Tokyo, respectively,” they said.
