Girl group GFriend thanked fans for supporting its latest track “Love Whisper” upon winning Sunday’s edition of SBS music show “Inkigayo,” in a live broadcast held via Naver’s V app the same day.

“I feel very very very very very happy,” Sowon said opening up the broadcast. “Then I will hundred-fold that,” Yerin said.

“This (winning on “Inkigayo”) was possible because of the support from fans,” Sowon said. “(The fans) listened to (the track), just like the title of the track,” Umji said. The Korean title of the track can be literally translated to “If you listen carefully.”

“To be frank, my eyes watered. But I couldn’t cry because if I had shed tears my makeup would have been messed up,” Yerin said.

The dance ballad “Love Whisper” is the lead track of the group’s fifth EP “Parallel.” The eight-track album also includes “Belief,” “Ave Maria,” “One-Half” and “Falling Asleep Again.”

Since its debut in 2015 with the mini album “Glass Bead,” GFriend has been enjoying popularity with songs such as “Me gustas tu,” “Rough” and “Navillera.”
