Amid controversies surrounding the late actress Choi Jin-sil’s daughter Choi Joon-hee’s recent social media posts alleging abuses by her grandmother, KBS has delayed airing a reality show episode featuring Choi Joon-hee, 14, and her maternal grandmother. The episode was originally scheduled to broadcast Thursday.

On Wednesday evening, creators of the program announced that they had decided to postpone airing the episode, saying, “We feel sorry for the delay because we were sure that after watching the episode, viewers would be able to understand the reason behind the conflicts between the two and support them in mending their relationship.”

Previously, Choi Joon-hee wrote several online posts, claiming that her grandmother has been abusing her, both mentally and physically.

She also said that she has been hurting herself and even attempted suicide due to severe depression.

It has been reported that Lee, who has been hospitalized since Tuesday for psychological therapy, was questioned by police at the hospital on Wednesday morning.

“We will keep discussing with Choi Joon-hee and her grandmother about whether or not to continue shooting the show,” said the program staff.

Choi Joon-hee’s mother Choi Jin-sil, who was a renowned Korean actress, took her own life in October 2008.

Choi Jin-sil, who was divorced, had sole custody of her two children. Cho Jin-sil‘s mother was made legal guardian of the two youngsters upon the death of the actress. The children‘s father committed suicide in 2013.
