Jessica talks about how she changed after leaving Girls’ Generation

Singer Jessica, who has just passed the 10-year mark in her music -- seven years as a girl group member and three years as a soloist -- talked about how she has changed after leaving Girls’ Generation in a recent interview.

The former girl group member released her third solo EP “My Decade” Wednesday, marking her 10th anniversary this year. In an interview with local media outlets, Jessica said she wanted to strip off her glamor and show her true self in the latest solo release.

Jessica left the group in 2014 to pursue her solo career under Coridel Entertainment that was established and headed by her boyfriend Tyler Kwon.

Asked what Girls’ Generation meant to her, Jessica recalled it as “a beautiful time in my life that I can’t just erase.”

Girls’ Generation has recently released its sixth full-length album “Holiday Night” to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
